More Advice for the GOP from a die hard Democrat, who has a long time Republican friend who thinks I'm a socialist, and since I do care about all people and what happens to them, their opportunities for education and healthcare, etc...I happily plead no contest to that title.

If you want to maintain the status as Grand Old Party, you need to shake things up.

Looking at your field of candidates, it's difficult to see anyone with the personality, temperament, equanimity, intelligence common sense, courage, and tenacity to be be President of the United States, representing all people, of all races, ethnicities, sexual identity, religions, or agnostics or atheists who make up THESE UNITED STATES..

So, going into your convention, you all may want to have a brokered convention and slug it out indoors in front of the nation...(Talk about a reality show...this would be can't miss TV) Show some hutzpah and find someone who could lead this country, if a Democrat isn't elected, although I think there is a high probability that will happen if Trump or Cruz or another divisive candidate gets the nomination.

Probably the best thing that could happen to your party would be to draft someone who isn't currently running. It would take courage and a united Republican Party which means the Tea  Partiers and THE DONALD would have to go away. Who wants, as President of this great country, someone who makes jokes about an opposing female candidate using the bathroom and then uses an inappropriate yiddish term that cannot be misinterpreted?

Since the first Republican candidates started to declare their candidacy, I've been saying you all may have a brokered convention and out of the ashes will arise a former candidate, Mitt Romney, who may be the one guy who can represent your Party. Just remember, He was Governor of Massachusetts when his Healthcare Act passed, the one which Obama's ACA emulated. And I hate to admit it, he's much better than anyone you have now.

Just don't expect me to fall off my "socialist" log anytime soon. But you Republicans are much better than what is going on right now in your party.
