LETTER: Support Morgan for district judge

York Dispatch

James Morgan is a friend of mine. I have known him for many years. I know he will make a great magisterial district judge.

I met James Morgan when he worked with my husband Eddie in the city police department. James demonstrated his commitment to York by always living in the city and having great involvement in it. James Morgan has the dedication and experience we need in a district judge.

James Morgan could have left York when he became a Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office narcotics agent. He stayed and worked with residents to take back neighborhoods from drug dealers. He helped organize anti-drug marches and neighborhood groups, including the Devers Neighborhood Association. He mentored children and served as a football and basketball coach. He worked for the school district as a safe schools manager and school director.

On the planning commission, James Morgan participated in neighborhood hearings and helped create the city's comprehensive plan and zoning laws. He helped improve the police department on its Civil Service Board. He raised his children and now has grandchildren here.

For all these reasons, I urge my neighbors in District 19-1-02 to support James Morgan.
