LETTER: Local McDonald's owners proud to be part of community
Recently, you may have noticed an increase in the news reports regarding McDonald's restaurants. Some have been focused on changes to the menu, some on recent advertising campaigns and some have focused on assumptions as well as national trends and statistics.
However, the McDonald's story is much more than national trends. We're parents, community leaders, volunteers and employers who live and work in your community. We wanted to take this opportunity to share the local McDonald's perspective and reach out to our local customers to say, "Thank You."
Here in York County, there are seven local McDonald's restaurant owners who operate 16 restaurants. As local business owners, we are proud to be a part of the communities we serve. We want to thank each and every local customer who supports us and makes McDonald's a part of their day. We look forward to serving you each time you visit. We also want to thank our restaurant staff for all of their hard work. We're proud to employ over 950 team members from the local community.
If you have visited us recently, you may have noticed some exciting changes to the menu. We strive to be a company that is continually listening to our customers. Our current menu offers a variety of choices from wholesome selections like the Egg White Delight McMuffin and Fruit & Maple Oatmeal to classic choices like Chicken McNuggets and World Famous Fries and new flavors such as the Premium Sirloin Third Pound Burgers and Premium Asian Salad with Artisan Grilled Chicken.
As local McDonald's restaurant owners, we understand that the people we serve are our neighbors in our communities. Whether it's through events like the recent Golf Classic that raised over $100,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central PA grant program, our long-term sponsorship of York Literacy Council's Buck a Book program, or special fundraising nights to benefit local schools, sports teams and other organizations in our restaurants, we take seriously our responsibility to give back and be good community partners.
We are proud to operate restaurants in the communities we call home and so we say a big "Thank You" to our customers and neighbors.
