York County churches: Pray before you vote

Several York County churches are asking community members to join them in prayer before Tuesday's election:

- St. John's Episcopal Church, 140 N. Beaver St., will be open for prayer at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
- Luther Memorial Church, 1907 Hollywood Drive, will hold an Election Eve Prayer Vigil, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, according to the church's Facebook page.
- Cross Roads United Methodist Church, 6881 Church Road, Cross Roads, will offer a time for prayer, 6:30-8 p.m. Monday, according to the church's Facebook page.
- St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 947 N. George St., will hold a community prayer service, 7 p.m. Monday, at the church, according to a news release. All are welcome. For more information, call (717) 854-0589.
- Shiloh Baptist Church, 740 W. Locust St., will hold a special evening of prayer in preparation for the election at 7 p.m. Monday, according to the church's Facebook page.
