Republican faithful can join their fellow party members to watch Donald Trump presumably accept his party's nomination during a watch party in York Township on Thursday.

The New York billionaire businessman collected enough delegates during the primary to all but secure his party's nomination for president. He's expected to formally accept the nomination later this week.

The Republican Club of York will host the watch party 7 p.m. Thursday at the Stone Grille & Taphouse, 201 St. Charles Way.

The Democratic Party of York County hasn't formalized plans for a watch party for when former secretary of state Hillary Clinton accepts the party nomination during the convention in Philadelphia, said Chad Baker, head of the local party.

"We are working with the coordinated (Clinton) campaign to get something arranged," he said.

Clinton also secured the needed number of delegates and is expected to formally accept her party's nomination next week.
