Lobbyists roaming the Capitol Rotunda are a common sight. But everyday Pennsylvanians may not know how much cash they're actually dishing out to influence state politics.

The York Dispatch has created a comprehensive lobbying expenditure database that breaks down every dollar spent to influence the state's politics since 2007, the earliest data available from the Department of State.

Expenditures are broken down into all categories recognized by the state. Feel free to scroll or use the search function to see how many millions come into play in the politics that affect policy statewide at https://datawrapper.dwcdn.net/AkPvV/1/.
