State Auditor General Eugene DePasquale will hold his first town hall event since announcing his bid for the state's 10th Congressional District seat.

DePasquale, a Democrat who is expected to be a strong candidate to dethrone four-term Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Scott Perry, R-Carroll Township, will hold the town hall from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg.

The 200-seat venue will be open to the public, and tickets are not required. The event also will be livestreamed, according to a news release. More details will be made available in the coming weeks.

DePasquale in 2020 is facing a primary battle with Democrat Tom Brier, an author and attorney from Hershey. Hershey native and Republican Bobby Jeffries is challenging Perry in the primaries.
