The Pennsylvania Taxpayers' Caucus, seeking public input as the state moves toward finalizing a budget revenue agreement, will hold a hearing 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at the Fairview Township Fire Department.

The caucus, co-chaired by Rep. Seth Grove, R-Dover Township, and Sen. Scott Wagner, R-Spring Garden Township, was founded during the 2015-16 budget impasse.

Grove and Wagner have both been vocal critics of the revenue bill approved in the Senate last week. The bill, which awaits House approval, includes a severance tax on natural gas drilling and $1.3 billion in borrowing, in addition to other consumer taxes.

The hearing, at 340 Lewisberry Road, is scheduled to last until 3 p.m., according to a news release.

Area residents interested in attending and speaking during the hearing can call Grove's office at 717-767-3947 or Rep. Dawn Keefer's office at 717-432-0792.
