U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pennsylvania, will be hosting a tele-town hall meeting 5 p.m. Thursday, according to his office.

Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., held a teleconference town hall meeting Thursday.

Toomey will be taking questions via phone, Facebook and live feed during the meeting, which will be his 49th tele-town hall, according to a spokesman.

Toomey wrote on his Facebook page that the plans are tentative, barring unforeseen Senate business.

Also on his Facebook page, Toomey posted a video speaking in support of the Senate changing the rules, often referred to as the "nuclear option," in order to confirm President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch.

Democratic leaders had similarly changed the rules with former President Barack Obama in office to confirm all other federal judge nominations except Supreme Court nominees.

Senate Democrats have enough votes to filibuster Gorsuch's nomination, according to the Associated Press.
