Northern York County Regional Police promoted two of their own at a ceremony Friday, according to a news release.

Jack C. Asper, a 15-year officer with the force, was promoted to sergeant from corporal, police said.

Asper had been corporal since 2011 and is assigned to the patrol division.

And Christopher Irwin, who has 12 years on the force, was promoted to corporal, police said.

Irwin also is assigned to the patrol division.
