Man suffering from stab wounds drives into SUV, killing 3

PHILADELPHIA – Police say a man suffering from multiple stab wounds was driving in Philadelphia when he struck a car full of people, killing three.

Police said the 29-year-old man drove his car into an SUV with four people inside about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday near Citizens Bank Park, where the Philadelphia Phillies play.

Officers say when the man was pulled from his car he had more than 10 stab wounds to the chest and abdomen. They later found a 10-inch knife inside his vehicle.

The man had not been named or charged as of early Wednesday.

A 36-year-old man, a 31-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 30-year-old woman was in critical condition with a broken pelvis and other injuries.
