Authorities: Teenage boy killed, another wounded in shooting
TURTLE CREEK, Pa. — Authorities say a shooting has left one teenager dead and another wounded in southwestern Pennsylvania.
Turtle Creek police say the shooting occurred around 11 p.m. Monday.
Officers responding to a 911 call found 16-year-old Jerame Turner, a Turtle Creek resident who had been shot multiple times. He was taken to a hospital but died there a short time later.
Authorities received a second 911 call a short time later about another shooting victim in a nearby area. There they found a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the arm and soon determined that he had fled on foot from the other shooting.
The younger boy was being treated at a hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Authorities say a motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
