Coroner: Pa. man fatally stabbed woman before hanging himself

MOUNT PLEASANT, Pa. — A coroner says a man stabbed a woman to death before hanging himself in Westmoreland County.

Police found the 27-year-old Ashley Ugoletti dead of multiple stab wounds in a home on College Avenue in Mount Pleasant on Wednesday night. They found 31-year-old Nguyen Tran, who lived in the home, had hanged himself in another room.

It’s not clear whether the two had a relationship.

The coroner has ruled the deaths a murder-suicide.
