PHILADELPHIA — Police have identified the 64-year-old woman who was pushing a stroller when she was hit and killed by a Philadelphia city bus.
Police say Lidia Procaccino, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, was pushing a 9-month-old boy in the stroller when she was struck Monday just before 5:30 p.m. The baby was unharmed but was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a precaution.
Police say the bus was making a left turn as the woman was entering the crosswalk. She had severe internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three passengers were on the bus but were uninjured.
