Ex-coach gets house arrest for giving alcohol to players
LEBANON, Pa. — A former central Pennsylvania high school softball coach accused of playing drinking games with her students and helping them lie about it to their parents has been sentenced to six months of house arrest.
Kathleen Wicker was also sentenced to two years of probation on Wednesday after pleading no contest to charges including endangering the welfare of children and providing alcohol to minors, including some of her players.
Wicker was fired last year from Palmyra Area High School in Lebanon.
Police say the 43-year-old gave alcohol to minors at her home between June 2014 and April 2015.
Police say she belittled students who didn’t want to drink and helped students lie to their parents so they could attend the parties she hosted.
