PHILADELPHIA — Authorities say a 4-year-old girl has been fatally shot by a 5-year-old sibling in Philadelphia and police are searching for the mother’s boyfriend, who’s believed to have owned the gun used.

Child starved, poisoned.

Police say the girl was shot in the face in a home in the Upper Kensington neighborhood in north Philadelphia shortly before 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.

Sgt. Eric Gripp says police are trying to determine who was in the home when the shooting occurred.

Police say a weapon was recovered. No arrests have been made.
