60 displaced by Middletown apartment complex fire
MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — The American Red Cross has been helping dozens of people displaced by a fire at an 80-unit apartment complex in central Pennsylvania.
There were no immediate reports of injuries in the blaze reported about 11:30 a.m. Sunday in Middletown.
The building that caught fire, Holly Hall, is part of the Village of Pineford apartment complex.
It wasn’t immediately clear how many units were burned or otherwise damaged in fire. But Red Cross officials say they’ve been helping about 60 people find shelter.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation, and crews say high winds helped spread the fire.
A telephone number for the apartment complex was out of service Monday.
