Police: Pennsylvania couple bought Corvette on company card

CONNEAUT LAKE, Pa. — A Pennsylvania couple has been jailed on charges they bought a Corvette and other items using a credit card issued by the man’s New York employer.

The Meadville Tribune reports 33-year-old Wesley Massey and his 30-year-old wife, Courtney, have been jailed since Monday.

The couple was charged after officials at Power Drives Inc. contacted Conneaut Lake police about an American Express card the company issued to Wesley Massey last year. Massey was employed by the Buffalo-based company, which makes hydraulic systems.

Police say the couple spent $40,000 on a used 2007 Corvette, a Carnival Cruise and other items. Police say the couple paid their rent and Crawford County probation office fines using the card.

The Masseys don’t have attorneys listed in court records and face a preliminary hearing Feb. 19.
