Lineup set for York City's 2017 Summer Movie Series

The York City Recreation and Parks Bureau released its schedule for the 2017 Summer Movie Series, with eight family-friendly films set to be screened for free at Kiwanis Lake.

Movies will start at 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday from June 7 to July 26 in the park at the corner of North Newberry Street and Parkway Boulevard, according to a news release.

Neel Sethi and Baloo the bear, voiced by Bill Murray, appear in a scene from, "The Jungle Book."

The schedule for the 2017 Summer Movies Series at Kiwanis Lake is:

  • "Storks," June 17
  • "Lego Batman," June 14
  • "The Jungle Book," June 21
  • "Angry Birds," June 28
  • "Sing," July 5
  • "Finding Dory," July 12
  • "Moana," July 19
  • "The Secret Life of Pets," July 26

In case of  inclement weather, movies will be shown the following night, according to the release.

ES3 will provide light refreshments before the movies begin.
