The York County Department of Parks and Recreation has announced the schedule for its popular summer Nature Discovery programs.

The classes, for children ages 3-13, offer a week of recreation and education.

Registration opens Monday, Jan. 11, for parks members, and Monday, Feb. 1, for non-members.

Classes are:

Small Wonders for ages 3-4, 9:30-11:30 a.m. June 13-17. Cost: $35-$45.

Nature Detectives for ages 5-6, 9:30 a.m.-noon June 27-July 1. Cost: $65-$55.

Water Worlds for ages 5-6, 9:30 a.m.-noon July 25-29. Cost: $65-$55.

Wonders of Nature for ages 7-8, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. July 11-15. Cost: $85-$75.

Habitat Helpers for ages 7-8, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Aug. 1-5. Cost: $85-$75.

Eco-Discovery for ages 9-10, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Aug. 8-12. Cost: $120-$110.

High Adventure for ages 11-13, various hours July 18-22. Cost: $160-$140.

Archaeology Week for ages 10-13, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. June 20-24 at Horn Farm, Hellam Township. Cost: $180-$160.

To register for any of the programs, visit www.yorkcountyparks.org, select the education tab, select summer day camp, then print the registration packet. Mail the completed registration and health forms along with full payment to the address on the form.

For credit card payments, call York County Parks at (717) 840-7440 to register. Health forms will still need to be mailed.
