RECOGNITION

Dover Area High School: Kirsten Arcarese and Najah Fink were named Students of the Month for November.

Northern High School: Among the students who had artwork accepted into the Pa. Art Education Association's National Art Honor Society exhibit, held Nov. 16-Jan. 1 in Harrisburg, are seniors Leanna Russell, Seven Downey and Alyssa Lumby, and junior MaKenna Clendenen.

Northern Middle School: Members of the Builders Club sponsored a Beanie Baby stuffed-animal drive for Operation Gratitude, a program that sends stuffed animals to active-duty soldiers for distribution to orphaned or abandoned children. The school donated nearly 200 stuffed animals and its seventh-graders contributed more than 100 letters to the soldiers.

Wellsville Elementary School: Second-graders wore blue and received blue items on Nov. 14 for World Diabetes Day in honor of a classmate affected by the disease.

York Catholic High School: Raised $16,684.25 on Dec. 1 during Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to philanthropy. The school's goal of $7,500 was greatly exceeded thanks to the gererosity of the community through social media and business contributions.
