Brother arrested in 22-year-old's shooting death in York City Saturday

York City Police have arrested a man on a criminal homicide charge in the shooting death of his 22-year-old brother late Saturday night.

Logan Cutchall, 22, of Linden Avenue in York City, was shot around 11:21 p.m. in the area of the 600 block of Linden Avenue, according to a York County Coroner’s Office news release.

Police arrested Nathaniel Cutchall on Sunday in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue for the shooting death of Logan Cutchall. He was turned over to central booking, where he was charged with criminal homicide, police said.

The two Cutchalls were brothers, according to York City Police Lt. Dan Lentz. 

Officers and EMS dispatched to the shooting scene found Logan Cutchall, who was unresponsive. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 12:05 a.m. Sunday, the coroner’s office stated.

Logan Cutchall's death is being investigated as a homicide, the release notes, adding there have been 17 homicides in York County so far this year, with 12 of them happening in the city.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.
