Coroner: Lower Windsor Twp. teen dies after car falls on him

A Lower Windsor Township teen died after being crushed by a car Monday afternoon, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Colyn Godden, 17, was working under a car at his home in the 300 block of Graham Lane in the township when a hydraulic jack gave way and the car fell on top of him, the coroner's report said. It is not known what time this happened.

The teenager was flown to WellSpan York Hospital by Life Lion medical helicopter, arriving at 2:30 p.m., but he succumbed to his injuries at 3:06 p.m., the coroner said.

Lower Windsor Township Police are investigating the incident.

There will be no autopsy. The cause of death was asphyxia from a crushing injury, with the manner accidental, the coroner's office said.
