Coroner called for two fatal crashes in York County in less than an hour

The York County coroner was called for two separate fatalities in less than an hour on Saturday, according to 911 dispatchers.

A man died in Hopewell Township after his car flipped into an embankment, and another man died in Windsor Township after his motorcycle crashed into a tree.

The man who died in Hopewell Township has not been identified yet. He was pronounced dead at 10:48 p.m. Saturday  at the crash scene near Piedmont Road and Hunters Ridge Lane.

His identity will be released  once his next of kin is notified, according to the coroner's office.

He reportedly lost control his his car at 9:56 p.m., causing it to flip and crash into an embankment in a field, a news release states. 

There were no passengers or other vehicles involved, the release states.

There will be no autopsy, but a routine toxicology test will be done, according to the release.

Motorcycle crash: The man who died in Windsor Township wasn't wearing his helmet when he crashed his motorcycle into a tree, according to the coroner.

The man, who has not been identified yet, was pronounced dead at 11:23 p.m. The crash occurred  at 10:03 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Freysville Road.

The driver exited the roadway and traveled into a yard, where he hit a tree, the coroner said in a news release.

The man was thrown from his motorcycle upon impact.

His identity will be released once his next of kin is notified, the coroner's office said.

There will be no autopsy, but a routine toxicology test will be done, according to the release.
