For one week only, the York County SPCA is waiving adoption fees to all past and present service members to celebrate Veterans Week.

Starting last Thursday and running through Wednesday, veterans or military families who provide identification or proof of service will be able to take part in the adoption event.

York County SPCA partnered with Iron Valley Real Estate to sponsor the adoption fees, according to a news release.

All animals available for adoption can be viewed at York County SPCA's website.

"The York County SPCA aims to bring the comfort and joy pets impart into the lives of those who have served," the release states.
