Coroner IDs woman killed in Carroll Twp. wreck

A woman died Monday night in a single-vehicle crash in Carroll Township.

Rebecca Melvin, 40, of Cumberland County, died at 8:36 p.m. Monday night.

Melvin lost control of her vehicle and hit a tree around 7:20 p.m. in the area of Williams Grove and York Roads, according to a news release from the York County Coroner’s Office.

No one else was in the vehicle.

A deputy coroner pronounced Melvin dead at the scene. There will be no autopsy, but a routine toxicology test will be done, the coroner’s office stated.
