York City will begin its public budget hearings next week, giving residents the opportunity to have an early look at what the city's fiscal future may entail.

The hearings will take place on the following dates at 6 p.m. in City Council Chambers:

Tuesday, Nov. 12: Hearing will cover Habitat for Humanity, state Department of Community and Economic Development funding for Chestnut Street, elected officials and the city's Business Administration.

Wednesday, Nov. 13: Hearing will cover the city's Department of Community and Economic Development as well as its police and fire departments.

Thursday, Nov. 14: Hearing will cover the Public Works Department.
