York and surrounding counties are under a wind advisory until 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, according to Northeastern Area Emergency Management.

West winds are expected to reach between 15 and 25 mph with gusts between 45 and 50 mph, according to the agency. The winds are expected to be strong enough to blow around unsecured objects and take down tree limbs. Power outages are also possible.
