About 300 women gathered Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Wyndham Garden of York in West Manchester Township for the third annual Pink Power Girls Night Out Black Dress Event. The event raises funds and awareness for breast cancer-related causes.

More than $120,000 was raised in the first two years of the event. This year, attendees bid on dozens of silent auction items, and a live auction was held for some premium items.

About 40 breast cancer survivors were honored with a toast during the event, some only six months after being diagnosed. The longest-surviving attendee was marking 29 years post-cancer.

Pink Power is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. For more information about the group, visit www.pinkpoweryork.org.
