Eleanor Lavelle, of Jans Flagging, Inc., based in Harrisburg, works to control traffic while crews work to pave West Market Street in downtown York, Pa. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015.

York City will pave a portion of Edgar Street on Wednesday, causing closures between the street's intersections of East Princess Street and East Prospect Street.

Edgar Street will be paved between East Princess Street and East Locust Street, according to a Tuesday news release. But the project will require that the closed area is larger, therefore covering up to East Prospect Street as well.

The paving will take place from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., the release states.
