Police: Body found in Susquehanna near Long Level

Emergency crews were dispatched Sunday morning to the Susquehanna River near Klines Run Park off Long Level Road when someone saw a body in the river.

A person passing by on a boat discovered the body around 8:30 a.m., according to Manor Township Police in Lancaster County.

Lancaster County Coroner Stephen Diamantoni said the body was decomposed and appeared to have been in the water for some time.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning in Lancaster.

Other responding agencies were Lower Windsor Township Police, Wrightsville Fire Department and Craley Fire Department, as well as Blue Rock Fire Rescue from Lancaster County.

Manor Township Police is the investigating agency.
