Six area law enforcement agencies recently grilled up some delicious creations in a battle for the first-ever Top Dog Contest title.
Spring Garden Township, Springettsbury Township, West York Borough, York Area Regional and Northern York County Regional police departments as well as the York County Sheriff's Office competed in the Sunday, Oct. 7, event that featured hot dogs grilled, boiled and smothered in all sorts of toppings, from glazed donuts to crab dip.
Northern York County Regional Police Department took the Judge's Choice award for its walking taco hot dog, and the York County Sheriff's Office won the People's Choice award with a cheesy crab dog.
The event was held at William Kain County Park, and proceeds benefited York County Crime Stoppers.
