Four York County first responders were among those honored Sunday, Sept. 16, during the annual Court of Valor and Safekeepers Shrine Ceremony at Prospect HIll Cemetery.

U.S. Deputy Marshal Christopher Hill, York City firefighters Zachary Anthony and Ivan Flanscha and York City Police Officer Alex Sable will be eternally remembered with the addition of their names on the marble base of the Safekeepers Shrine.

Family members of Anthony, Flanscha and Sable were presented folded flags during the ceremony before the unveiling of their names.

Also honored during the 10th annual event were 17 additions to the Court of Valor. This year's honorees join more than 300 York County military members whose names are inscribed on the black granite archway topped with a piece of steel from the World Trade Center.
