The York County 911 Center will open its doors this weekend to county residents, giving them a chance to see how it functions on a daily basis and to take part in a variety of activities.

The open house is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the center at 120 Davies Drive, Springettsbury Township, according to a Friday, Sept. 14, county news release.

Attendees will be able to go inside the center and experience 911 tours, emergency vehicle and helicopter displays and more.

Other activities include a blood drive, children's fingerprinting and food vendors, the release adds.

The event is open to the public, and there is no need to RSVP.
