York County under flood watch through Monday

Staff report

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for York and other central-Pennsylvania counties from Saturday evening through Monday evening.

Rain is expected tonight and will continue through Monday.

Flooding along streams and creeks, as well as in low-lying areas is possible, according to the weather service.

Parts of York County are still recovering from flooding that resulted from an Aug. 31 storm.

Dozens of roads were damaged or destroyed, and the state Department of Transportation said some will be closed for weeks.
