Sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols will be conducted in York County over the holiday weekend, according to a news release from the Center for Traffic Safety.

The release states that the checkpoints and patrols will be held sometime between 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, and 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3.

Adams and Lancaster counties will have checkpoints and patrols as well.

The enforcement activities, according to the release, are part of the national mobilization "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over," which went into affect in mid-August, and will continue through the weekend, according to the release.
