York City residents will soon have the opportunity to speak directly with City Council members to voice their concerns and suggestions during an upcoming town hall.

The town hall will take place from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Logos Academy, said York City Council President Henry Nixon during a Tuesday, Aug. 22, council meeting.

The meeting will be the first of its kind in a "very, very long time," Nixon said, and city residents are welcome to ask questions about the next fiscal year's budget, recent legislation and other city-related matters.

The next city council meeting will take place 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, in the City Council chambers at 101 S. George St.
