Pennsylvania politics will meet one of America's most beloved game shows in the first scheduled gubernatorial debate between Democratic incumbent Gov. Tom Wolf and Republican Scott Wagner.

The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry announced that longtime "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek will moderate what will be the only head-to-head exchange between the two candidates, according to a Monday, Aug. 20, news release.

The 45-minute debate will take place at 8:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, Dauphin County, for the chamber's 34th Annual Chamber Dinner.

Instead of answering in the form of a question, however, the gubernatorial candidates will be pushed to give detailed answers and "focus on an array of topics that are critical to Pennsylvania's business community," said Chamber President Gene Barr.

The event, which every year gives attendees the opportunity to meet prominent state politicians and business leaders, also will include dinner and a question-and-answer segment with Trebek before the debate.
