S.P.I.N. donation drive for disaster victims set for Friday

The Southern PA Incident Network will be holding a donation drive Friday, Aug. 24, in Springettsbury Township to help victims of disasters.

S.P.I.N. will hold the donation drive from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the U-Stor-It Self Storage, 1331 N. Sherman St.

Flood waters from the south branch of the Codorus Creek ripped the blacktop surface from Glatfelters Station Road in North Codorus Township, Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Neighbors say the water lifted the road into the air around 7 a.m. and then broke it into chunks. John A. Pavoncello

The group is in need of baby items, including clothing, diapers, bottles and gift cards for formula, and they will accept any size clothing or household items, according to the event's Facebook page.

The idea is that the organization will have items available for those who need them once a disaster happens, according to the Facebook page.

A S.P.I.N. member will be at the gate and will let people have access to the facility. Anyone with questions can message the group's Facebook page.
