The Dover Area School District officially broke ground Tuesday, Aug. 14, on a $65 million construction project that includes a new high school and sports fields.

According to a news release from the district, the new high school will be located at the site of the current Intermediate school, 4500 Intermediate Ave. The new two-story school, expected to be completed by late summer or early fall 2020, will have one central entrance for increased security.

The intermediate school will be relocated to the current Dover Area High School building after about $5 million in improvements.
