A 25-year-old Lower Chanceford Township man died in an early morning crash Saturday, Aug. 11, in the township, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Luke Matthew Leftridge, of Woodbine Road, was found trapped after the single-vehicle crash near Frosty Hill and Downs roads, according to the coroner’s office, which stated the wreck happened sometime after 2:30 a.m.

According to a state police incident report, Leftridge was driving his 2000 Jeep Sport west on Frosty Hill Road when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve. Police said he left the road and struck an embankment on the south side of the road, causing the vehicle to flip on its roof.

Leftridge, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene about 4:15 a.m., the coroner's office stated in a news release. Police said he was wearing a seat belt.
