Police: WellSpan doctor injured in fatal N.J. crash
Two York women, including a York-area doctor, were injured in a fatal crash in New Jersey over the weekend, according to officials.
Middle Township Police, of Cape May County, said that Dr. Ann Ramage, 64, and Roberta Blasdell, 65, were injured when a 73-year-old Collingswood, New Jersey, woman crashed into their car Saturday, Aug. 4.
WellSpan spokesman Dan Carrigan said Tuesday, Aug. 7, that Ramage is a physician for WellSpan.
Ramage's WellSpan profile states that she specializes in family medicine and that her office is located at 1575 Bannister St., Suite 1, in West Manchester Township.
Crash: According to police, Elizabeth MacNamara was traveling south on Court House-South Dennis Road when her vehicle, a 2016 Honda CRV, went into the northbound lane of travel and struck a 2011 Ford Escape head-on.
The crash happened about 11:45 a.m., and MacNamara was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Ramage, the driver of the Ford Escape, and Blasdell, her passenger, were taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with multiple injuries, according to officials.
Information about their conditions could not be obtained from Atlanticare Regional Medical Center.
Middle Township Police are investigating. Middle Township is near Wildwood, about 150 miles from York County.
