A heat advisory has been issued for York County Monday, Aug. 6. 

The National Weather Service said there will be a heat index of about 100 degrees on Monday. The advisory goes into effect at noon and ends at 7 p.m.

The weather service advised limiting or rescheduling strenuous outdoor activities. It also advised staying hydrated and to check up on elderly, sick, and those without air conditioning. 

The weather service is anticipating a high of 91 degrees Monday.
