Beginning Monday, Sept. 10, the York County Solid Waste Authority's recycling drop-off facility will change its hours and limit the types of recyclable materials that are accepted.

The facility, located at 2685 Blackthorne Court in Manchester Township, will now be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays, according to a Thursday, Aug. 2, news release. The facility is closed on Sundays and holidays.

The facility will limit acceptable materials to metal food and beverage cans — including aluminum, steel and bi-metal cans — and corrugated cardboard as a result of Chinese policy changes on acceptable contaminant levels in recycled materials, the release states.

The facility is open to York County residents, and there is no fee to drop off recyclables.
