York City has put out a casting call for residents who may have the perfect Christmas tree to be placed in Continental Square for the upcoming holiday season.
The city is in search of a spruce tree that's at least 30 feet tall, according to a Thursday, Aug. 2, city news release.
The selected tree will be removed at no cost to the property owner and will be placed in Continental Square in downtown York for the annual Dec. 1 Light Up York celebration, which includes daylong events and the lighting of the tree, the release states.
Residents who have a tree that meets the criteria should call Carol Godfrey at 717-845- 9351 with their name, street address, phone number and email address, the release adds.
