The flood warning for York County has been extended into Thursday night.

Rain is not expected Thursday, but the county is under the warning because water levels remain very high and flooding is still occurring, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service said runoff continues from the heavy rain, and creeks and stream flows remain high, but are decreasing.

York County was hit by about 9 inches of rain between Saturday, July 21, and the morning of Wednesday, July 25.
