York County will be under a heat advisory Sunday and Monday.

The National Weather Service says temperatures in the 90s, combined with high humidity, will feel more like 100 to 104 degrees during the afternoon hours. The heat index could be higher in certain local areas.

The temperature could cause heat stress, and the service recommends limiting or rescheduling outdoor activities. The service also suggests checking up on the elderly, sick and those without air conditioning, and to not leave children or pets unattended in vehicles.

The heat advisory will be in effect from 8 a.m. Sunday, July 1, to 8 p.m. Monday, July 2.
