York County presidential buffs and U.S. history aficionados will be able to expand their knowledge of the country's 45 presidents with an exhibit at the York Galleria mall from Monday, July 2, through Aug. 16.

The exhibit, titled "American Presidents: Life Portraits," offers the only complete collection of American presidential oil portraits by one artist, North Carolina painter and sculptor Chas Fagan, according a Thursday, June 28, press release.

C-SPAN, Comcast and the White House Historical Association are sponsoring the free exhibit, which was displayed in Washington, D.C., during the 2017 presidential inauguration, the release states.

The display also contains portraits of each of the first ladies, photos of each president's time period and smartphone-accessible biographical video and audio of every president's voice since Theodore Roosevelt,  the release adds.

“We are elated to have this bit of history stopping in York,” said Kevin Schreiber, president of the York County Economic Alliance. “York is by nature a hub of history. ... We look forward to the public’s enjoyment of this exhibit right here in York County.”

Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays at 2899 Whiteford Road.
