Sobriety checkpoint scheduled for Adams County
A sobriety checkpoint will be conducted this weekend in Adams County, the Center for Traffic Safety said in a news release Friday, June 8.
The sobriety checkpoint will be held between 6 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Sunday, June 10, the release states.
The checkpoint will be conducted as part of the center's Impaired Driving Program.
Checkpoints, roving DUI patrols and other activities organized by the program are funded with grant money provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, according to the release.
The activities are established on sections of roadway that are proven to have a high incidence of impaired drivers, the release states.
