A Dover man died Monday afternoon after a tree fell on him while he was working in Warrington Township, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Jason Covert-Kohler, 35, was working around 2:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Twin Lakes Road when the tree fell on him and he became unresponsive, a release from the coroner states.

Covert-Kohler was working with other employees of Out on a Limb Tree Care Inc. when the tree fell on him, the release states.

He was transported to York Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:42 p.m., according to the coroner.

His cause of death was blunt-force head and neck trauma, with the manner accidental, the coroner's office said.

State police are investigating, and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has been notified, the release states.
